AIITY - charity collab for Haity
This collaborative kit, named AYITI (for the Creole name of Haiti), was created to help the people of Haiti after the horrible earthquake that struck this small country on January 12, 2010. Timounette, whose children were born in Haiti, asked several designers to create this
The funds collected through the sale of this kit will be entirely forwarded to two groups who work directly in Haiti; this is money that will go directly to Haitians.
This money will help:- the inhabitants of Jacmel, a small town in the south of the country which was badly impacted and awaits funding for reconstruction, thanks to the ACEM group: http://acemhaiti87.canalblog.com/
- and the Angel House orphanage where Timounette's children lived, which houses more than 70 children awaiting adoption in Port au Prince. Their building was completely destroyed, and the children are living in a tent city: http://lamaisondesanges.e-monsite.com/
Timounette has promised to keep you up-to-date on the funds that have been gathered, and the way in which these funds are being used, through her blog at http://timounette.canalblog.com/
All the designers thank you for helping to participate in the rebuilding of Haiti.
